The V-Bahn construction occurred in July 2018. The new 10-seater gondola lift Grindelwald – M\u00e4nnlichen is due to be inaugurated on 14 December 2019. The new BOB Rothenegg station will also go into operation in winter 2019\/2020. This shortens the travel time to the Jungfraujoch and the ski area by 47 minutes. The opening of the Eiger Express and the terminal with, all its components (shops, restaurants and ski depots), is planned for 12 December 2020.
\nOn Friday 15 March 2019, the blasting of 25,000 m3<\/sup> was successfully carried out on the Eigergletscher construction site at 2,300 m above sea level. This was due to create space for the new mountain station of the 3s cable car.<\/p>\n

Grindelwald will become a year-round destination and secures the future of tourism in the entire Jungfrauregion. It will also strengthen the competitiveness of the Jungfraujoch and Grindelwald, as a winter sports destination in the international competition. We are delighted that our customers will soon be able to explore the ski and hiking region of Grindelwald more easily and conveniently.<\/p>\n
