These days a new heatwave hits Switzerland. Escaping the heat is, therefore, a top priority for many. This is a reason for locals and tourists to make a trip to the mountains. Interlaken offers a wonderful starting point for various excursions to the Jungfrau Region. The town is situated between Lake Brienz and Lake Thun. Both lakes are connected by the Aare. However, if you are attracted to the mentioned mountain lakes and streams, you can make an excursion from Interlaken to Grindelwald. The glacier gorge, for example, offers pleasant temperatures and a variety of leisure activities even in midsummer.<\/p>\n
We recommend the Bachalpsee for those who want to do some sports before jumping into the cool water. The lake is located in a beautiful nature reserve and can be reached on foot from the First in less than an hour.<\/p>\n
Not to forget, of course, the Jungfraujoch, Top of Europe, where current temperatures are around 15\u00b0 Celsius! If this is not enough to cool down, we recommend the Ice Palace on the Jungfraujoch. Surrounded by beautiful ice sculptures, you can escape the heatwave.<\/p>\n
