Summer and winter are high seasons in the Jungfrau Region. There is also a lot to discover in the low season. The nights are getting longer and cooler, so we can hardly overlook the announcement of autumn. But this also means ideal hiking weather. The days are still beautiful, the temperatures mild and there are not as many people as in summer.

Royal Ride Wengen – Männlichen

If you want to start your hike spectacularly, you can take the new gondola from Wengen to Männlichen. The “Royal Ride” offers a balcony on the gondola! From the balcony, you can already sniff the fresh mountain air during the ride. At the top, several hiking trails await you, such as the Öpfelchüechliweg or the Romantikweg.

Hiking

Also from the Grindelwald side, there are many beautiful hikes to discover. The Jungfrau Railways even offer explicit hiking tickets. There is a hiking ticket for the classic: Schynige Platte – Faulhorn – First. The first stage leads steadily uphill from the Schynigen Platte to the Faulhorn summit. Then a leisurely descent to Bachalpsee and mostly flat on to the First mountain station.

Mushrooms

The mushroom season is also in full swing. The beautiful weather invites you to roam through the woods and look for the tasty goods. So if you fancy a local mushroom dish, with a little patience and luck you will surely find it. But beware! To be on the safe side, it is always worthwhile to pay a short visit to the nearest mushroom inspection point. Then nothing stands in the way of a well-deserved dinner.

Jetboat Interlaken

For the adventurous, there is also a trip on the jet boat. The team of Jetboat Interlaken welcomes its guests in Bönigen and equips you with everything you need for the trip. Afterward, you experience an interesting and above all fast boat trip. Not only do you enjoy the full 360 degrees from the panorama, but also from the spins, which deliver a lot of adrenalin.
