The V-Bahn in Grindelwald has finally opened! The first visitors were already able to try out the new installation in December and the feedback was thoroughly positive. The journey from Grindelwald Grund up to the Jungfraujoch takes almost an hour less than before. From the terminal, the 10-seater gondolas take you up to Männlichen and the 3S cable car up to the Eiger Glacier.

Our team, based in Grindelwald, naturally didn’t miss the opportunity to test the new experience.
Angela Meyer: “It’s great how quickly you can get on the slopes now. You can use the opportunity to take out your skis on the spur of the moment.”

Yasmine Studhalter: “The atmosphere in the new terminal is extraordinary. The modern architecture is impressive and blends in great with the alpine landscape.”

Stefanie Kaufmann: “The modern infrastructure is great. And if you get hungry, you can also get some delicious Noodle Soup right away.”

The improvement of the railway infrastructure from Interlaken up to the Eiger Glacier makes the journey a lot more pleasant for our guests and the residents. The facilities in the terminal itself also leave nothing to be desired. There’s nothing standing in the way of a great day in the mountains.”

Our conclusion is that it’s an experience to visit the new V-Bahn and the terminal and to enjoy the wonderful nature of the Grindelwald mountains afterwards. We can only recommend it. See you soon on the slopes!
