The Haus Murmeli is located at Am Rauft 1067 in 3825 Mürren. The Lauterbrunnen-Mürren cable car is reachable within a 5-minute walk; the Schilthorn cable car station is 10 minutes (550 meters) away. History

The Haus Montana and the Haus Murmeli look back on more than 100 years of history. Originally built around 1910 as a small shoemaker’s cottage, the Haus Montana was expanded to its current size between 1928 and 1932. In 1932, the owner founded the Kandahar AG shoe company, which produced the high-quality Kandahar shoes in Mürren for over 30 years. Next door stood the Haus Murmeli, a souvenir shop that became part of the Haus Montana ownership in 1995. Today, the Haus Montana and Haus Murmeli are managed by the third generation and offer commercial and residential space as well as unique mountain views.
