Originally founded in 1961 in Interlaken as “Mozartwochen” and later known as “Interlakner Musikfestwochen”, the Interlaken Classics have tradition. The event is one of the oldest and most important festival for classical music in Switzerland. The concerts take place during one month in spring and are held in different historical and traditional locations on the Bödeli as for example the Kursaal Interlaken or in the beautiful Salle de Versailles at the Victoria – Jungfrau Grandhotel & Spa. Not to miss the ancient village church in Grindelwald.
The Mission of the society is clear: to support talented young musicians all over Europe. To present the world of classic music to the young generations the Interlaken Classics offer a price reduction of 50% for teenagers. Therefore, not only young musicians but also their audience are supported strongly by the society.
Griwa Group supports Interlaken Classics since serval years. Because of the sponsoring, we had the opportunity to visit a Concert together with our customers from Griwa Treuhand AG. On March 31, 2019, the long-awaited day was come and we were able to enjoy the performance of the Equilibris piano trio. The group was formed by three promising young talents and was founded in 2018 by Anna Abbühl (Cello) and Simon Wernli (Violin) from Switzerland as well as the Russian pianist Igor Andreev. Our customers were as excited as we were and we enjoyed together two hours of classical chamber music. Whether it was Beethoven, Brahms or Ravel, the trio enchanted the whole audience in the village church in Grindelwald.
After that delightful concert, we took our customers to our partner hotel Aspen alpin_lifestyle_hotel and enjoyed the treat of an exclusive 4-course-menu. The four-star Hotel, which also includes apartments with administration services is located at the foot of the famous Eigernordwand and was opened again in autumn 2012 after serval renovations. The traditional Chalet-Style as well as the modern and valuable interior construction give the luxurious Hotel his unique charm.
Griwa Group is not only present in Grindelwald. On June 21, 2019 will be the opening of the Jungfrau Center in Interlaken. The new apartment and commercial building offers 34 apartments and serval business premises. The Center is located very central in Interlaken, directly next to the Train Station Interlaken East, which guarantees big advantages.
