The 3-star superior Hotel Bodmi in Grindelwald is a local traditional hotel. In 1992 the hotel was opened as such by Elisabeth Kaufmann. Elisabeth Kaufmann grew up in Grindelwald in the Bodmi and was able to fulfill a childhood dream with the hotel. Kurt Gisler was born in Brienz and set off for Grindelwald in 1985 through tennis & skiing. After 27 years in the business, it is now time for a change. The succession planning for the Hotel Bodmi has been transferred to GRIWA TREUHAND AG, which has been known for years for sustainable property acquisitions and succession planning and has accompanied the sales process.

The new owner of the hotel is the Hotel Bodmi GmbH, managed by the business partners Sascha Hempel and Britt Sylvia Eckelmann. Both have had a close relationship with Grindelwald and the region for many years and have taken over the Hotel Bodmi on 1st December 2019. The new director will be hotel manager Fiona Rosemann, who has already worked in various management positions in various hotels in Germany and England and is very happy about the new challenge.

The Hotel Bodmi GmbH

Sascha Hempel and Britt Sylvia Eckelmann attach great importance to continuing the traditional house with its 20 rooms, 4 hotel managed apartments and the restaurant with 120 seats in the same style as their predecessors. In this context, all employees have also been taken over. Any necessary adjustments would then be made gradually over the coming years. The new owners also see great potential in the location of the hotel, with the neighboring Bodmi Arena and the many nearby leisure activities. The relationship with the locals is also particularly important to them. Accordingly, the Hotel Bodmi GmbH is particularly pleased to welcome all local residents who would like to get an idea of the new management of the hotel.

Opening & start of the winter season

The reopening and the start of the winter season of the Hotel Bodmi in Grindelwald took place on 13th December 2019.
The couple Gisler Kaufmann are happy about the optimal solution and wish the successors much success and satisfaction with the business.
