Ursula and Mark Nolan-van Allmen handed over the traditional hotel to the new owners, MCWAMO AG, in mid-February 2020.

The Nolan family took over the hotel business from the Stäger family in 1999 and acquired it themselves in 2004. After a busy business year, Griwa Treuhand AG from Grindelwald was commissioned with the succession planning for the hotel in 2017.

With Stephen Mc Philemy, Patrick Wade and Cyrus Mojibi (MCWAMO AG) a new owner could be found, who have been visiting the Lauterbrunnen Valley as holiday guests for years and have now realized the dream of their own hotel.

The hotel business is not new to them, Stephen has been running a hotel in Ireland for several years.

Under the new management, Hotel Oberland will continue to be run as a successful business in the heart of Lauterbrunnen, the basis for which the Nolan family has laid in recent years.

By renting out holiday apartments, the two will continue to be active as hosts in Lauterbrunnen.
